Polish American Heritage Month

Polish American Heritage Month is an annual designation observed in October.

The first Polish American Heritage Month was organized in 1981 by Michael Blichasz, the President of the Polish American Cultural Center in Philadelphia. It was celebrated in August. House Joint Resolution 577 passed in 1984, making August Polish American Heritage Month. In 1986 the observation was moved to October.

On October 15, 2016, our Committee, with Polish scouts Gromada Zuchowa Krokusy, visited the monument dedicated to the memory of Gen. Tadeusz Kosciuszko and Gen. Kazimierz Pulaski.

Next meeting and future events

Next meeting of the Staten Island Pulaski Day Parade Committee will take place on Tuesday, October 25, 7:30 pm.

Nomination of new officers and elections will take place at this meeting.
